Friday Film Fest - The new releases in town

With the Tamil New Year holiday approaching, we are in for a long weekend. As usual, there are new films which are looking to capitalize on this holiday period to rake in the moolah. The releases that will hit the screens today, across the state are as follows

Naan Sigappu Manithan - With fair amount of hype and a very impressive trailer, NSM leads the pack as the movie to watch out for. Vishal would be looking to notch up another success after the much-loved Pandiya Nadu, with the trustworthy Thiru for company. The Vishal - Lakshmi Menon chemistry has also come in for much appreciation.

Kantharvan - Directed by Salangai Thurai, and featuring largely unknown actors, Kantharvan also releases today in limited screens and shows

The other language movies which open today include the Telugu movie Race Gurram starring Shruti Haasan and Allu Arjun, the Amitabh starrer Bhoothnath Returns, the Mammootty starrer Gangster and the English movie Rio 2 3D which has also been dubbed in Tamil.
