Friday Film Fest - The new releases in town

The stream of new releases continues this week as well, as we have 5 new Tamil films fighting it out at the box-office.

Cuckoo leads the lot as the film with the maximum buzz and interest factor among the masses. Cuckoo is directed by Raju Murugan and features Dinesh and Malavika in lead roles as a blind young couple in love. Santhosh Narayanan's score for the movie is already being acclaimed as a classic. Cuckoo is expected to have a victorious run at the box-office.

The other new releases are

- Kerala Naatilam Pengaludane directed by noted composer S S Kumaran with lyrics by the legendary Vairamuthu.

- Virattu directed by Kumar T with music by Dharan and starring Sujiv in the lead role. A music video featuring Andrea and the film's lead characters is doing its rounds in music channels and has given the movie some visibility.

- Yasakhan directed by Duraivaanan with 'Angadi Theru' Mahesh in the lead role.

- Panivizhum Nilavu directed by Kaushik with 'Bombay' fame Hriday in the lead role.

Here's hoping that all these films make a mark among the viewers and the trade.
