Is Suriya taking Vikram's place?

Director Vikram Kumar, who made a big mark, with the recent wholesome Telugu hit Manam will begin his next in Tamil with happening star Suriya in the lead. The film has been titled 24 and a first look poster was released yesterday.

 

Suriya's 2D Entertainment would be producing the film while Isai Puyal A.R.Rahman would be providing the music. Rahman has already worked with Suriya in films such as Sillunu Oru Kaadhal and Aaytha Ezhuthu.

 

Interestingly, with the same title 24, Vikram Kumar was supposed to do a film with Chiyaan Vikram in the lead about 5 years back and we had also reported about it. That film failed to take off though.

 

Now is Suriya taking Vikram's place in the same script or is this a new venture?
