Santhosh Narayanan talks about composing for Jigarthanda

Santhosh Narayanan is ready with the 'worst song in the history of film music'

Jan 06, 2014

Jigarthanda, the upcoming movie directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which has Siddharth in the lead, is nearing its completion. Santhosh Narayanan, the music director of the film is almost done with the soundtrack for the movie. The composer recently expressed his gratitude towards all those who have taken active part in his journey.

"Just as i am winding up the sound track of Jigarthanda, I take the opportunity to thank all the musicians, sound editors and engineers who have given the soundtrack so much life. It has always been my dream to bridge/include OSTs and songs together in an Indian movie and release a big chunk of the OSTs (bg score) along with the official song/audio release.

Jigarthanda shall feature some of the b
est independent artists in our country such as Napier Peter Naveen Kumar, Leon James, Pradeep Kumar, Sean Roldan, Anthony Daasan, Mani, Kalyani Nair and many more along with various amazing artists from around the world.

We were also very happy to have recorded a street band from tanjoore for a song in the movie.

Thanks to Karthik Subbaraj ,who is one of the best writers in the country today, and i am sure that Jigarthanda will be yet another work of art.

Jigarthanda will also have a desperately wannabe "romantic' song, which will probably be the worst song in the history of film music.
