For the first time in 21 years, Samantha does it ...
Jul 21, 2013Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a really pretty face as we all know and she has charmed the male populace all over the South. Till 2012, she wasn't given substantial roles and was mostly seen opposite big superstars in the Telugu industry.
But movies such as Neethane En Ponvasantham and Eega turned her fortunes around and she made the entire South sit up and take notice of her acting skills too. Her exploits in these movies were recognized by the Filmfare jury as she was judged as the Best Actress in both Tamil and Telugu.
This is for the first time in 21 years that the same actress has won the Best Actress honor for both Tamil and Telugu. Revathi had achieved a similar feat in 1992, when she won for Thevar Magan and Ankuram. Samantha's special friend Siddharth brought out this little trivia in his social networking space and Samantha promptly replied stating that she missed his presence badly at the Awards gala.
Way to go Sam and we look forward to your presence in the Suriya - Lingusamy biggie next.
