Mohanlal's recent offering continues to rule

The recent Mohanlal starrer Drishyam has turned out to be the biggest blockbuster in the history of Malayalam films.


The film enters its 50th day today (6th February 2014) and is still ruling the roost in Kerala, overseas markets and even in Tamil Nadu in a few theaters across Chennai City. The film's theatrical gross is set to be around 35 crores and the total revenue from the film is estimated to be a whopping 50 crores.

Drishyam's mega-success also gave a good boost to Jilla's record breaking opening in Kerala. The film also earned rave reviews from the masses and critics alike.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph and also starring Meena, Drishyam is set to be remade in Tamil with Padma Bhushan Kamal Haasan in the lead. Suresh Balaje would be producing the remake.
