The Big B influence in Dhanush's new title

After the stupendous success of his first Hindi film Raanjhanaa, Dhanush is working in his second Hindi project being directed by Balki of Cheeni Kum and Pa fame. This film also becomes important for Akshara Haasan, the second daughter of Kamal and Sarika, who makes her onscreen debut as a heroine.

If one were to go by the cast and technician’s list of this film, it sure is imposing with Amitabh Bachchan in a key role, Ilayaraja scoring music and P C Sreeram behind the camera.

While the shooting of the film has been going on for some time, the film was untitled till now. Now it has come to our notice that the film is titled Shamitabh.

About the title, Amitabh Bachchan says it has nothing to do with his name but the reason for it will be found in the film. With Dhanush supposed to be playing a speech-impaired man who aspires to become a film actor, the title does hold a lot of significance.
