''Jigarthanda has given a whole new meaning to my life''

Recently our Behindwoods Correspondent got in touch with the man of the moment, Bobby Simha, in the aftermath of Jigarthanda's ground-breaking impact. Cool and collected as ever, Bobby opened his heart out in this freewheeling chat. A brief excerpt from this detailed interview follows.

 

"My life can be split into two ! Before and after Jigarthanda ! Every actor does get that 'Adhirshta Dhevadhai' once in life. I grabbed it for over a year with sheer trust on my beloved friend Karthik Subbaraj !

 

Initially, it was too much for me to even imagine pulling off such a role when I got floored reading the script. Thanks to Soodhu Kavvum and Neram, it gave me the much-needed edge to play such a character. Now, by seeing the overwhelming response, I have decided to go to any extent by continuing to interest people with such roles.

 

I was laughed at, but only in the movie. When we went on a tour to know the audience response, I was blown away with the way people celebrated us. I think I was born only to witness this day of my life.

 

Jigarthanda has not just changed my life, it has given a whole new meaning to my life. Wait for more of me to surprise you ! I need your wishes and blessings to do better films."
