Psychiatrist Santhanam and student Vishaka Singh

After the grand success of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, the team has now got together again for a new project titled Vaaliba Raja. Sethu, (male lead in KLTA), Santhanam, Vishaka (female lead in KLTA) and Nushrat Bharucha (the lady who acted in Hindi movies like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Akaash Vani) have been roped in to play the lead roles.
 

Jayaprakash, Sriranjani, Devadharshini, VTV Ganesh, Neelima, Meera Krishnan, Chithra Laxmanan, Kanal Kannan, Santhana Bharathi and Panchu Subbu form the supporting cast.
 

Debutant Sai Gokul Ramanath, who has worked with K.V Anand will direct the film. Sethu plays the role of a designer, while Santhanam and Vishaka play the roles of a psychiatrist and a psychiatry student in the film.
 

Vaaliba Raja is the name of the character that Santhanam plays in the movie. The movie is named after his character’s name because Santhanam’s character has an important role to play throughout the film.
 

“Please do not mistake the genre of the movie with the title”, says director Sai Gokul Ramanath. “The movie will be a complete family entertainer.”
 

The team has currently canned fifty percent of the film over a 26 day schedule in Chennai and Pondicherry. The remaining portion of the film will be shot in locations such as Madurai and Kutralam.
 

Ganesh Raj has worked along with Sai Gokul Ramanath in the screenplay of the film. Cinematographer, Loganathan who has worked in about 5 Telugu  movies and 8 Malayalam movies which includes the award winning Usthad Hotel, helms the camera for Vaaliba Raja.
 

The music is being composed by Rathan who has been composing songs in Telugu movies. The movie will be edited by Sathyaraj and Johnson will take care of public relations. The movie is produced by Vanks Vision.
