The Fest will have 2 competitions; namely, Act the Rhythm and Dream Vision. Act the Rhythm is open for all departments while Dream Vision is only for media students (Viscom, Masscom, Electronic media).

The surprise factor is that the winning 3 Videos will be screened along with the film in theaters and will also be followed up with prizes.

Cheran has also tied up with a fireworks company for a deal of 200000 gift boxes with the name JK Crackers.

JK FEST 2013 is the first of its kind that reaches out to students to express their passion and talent towards the film industry.
