For long Dhanush had yearned for the opportunity to dance to Rahman’s tunes in his film and now he is visibly happy with the fact that the Oscar winning composer has scored for two of his upcoming films, Maryan and Raanjhanaa.

Besides having the support of great music from Rahman, Dhanush is also proud of the fact that he could contribute as a lyricist to one of the songs in Maryan. At a recent meet Rahman admitted that he had originally sung ‘Kadal Rasa’ but felt that his voice did not suit Dhanush and that’s when he had the idea of inviting Yuvan Shankar Raja over to do the deed. The whole recording process lasted just about an hour and ARR credited Yuvan for being such a quick worker.

Yuvan has worked closely with Dhanush for many of Selvaraghavan’s films delivering numerous hits and Rahman felt that Yuvan would fit perfectly into the scheme of things with respect to this track.
