Dhanush bestows his film's title on A.R.Rahman
May 12, 2013 The classic love story of Heer and Ranjha is a part of Punjabi folklore. Ranjha is the male lover and he is sometimes referred as Raanjhanaa and that is how the title of Dhanush's Hindi debut gains significance. The character played by Dhanush, Kundan has such an intense love for Zoya, played by Sonam Kapoor.
Dhanush refers to A.R.Rahman as the real Raanjhanaa of the movie as his scores and songs have added so much weight to the movie. He appeals to the audience to see the songs along with the movie to experience the real magic. Dhanush also wonders how ARR is able to provide such spellbinding music to both Tamil and Hindi films at the same time.
