There was an exciting news sometime back about Mani Ratnam and Mahesh Babu joining hands for a bilingual. But in a disappointing turn of events, this dream project has failed to take off as the producer of the film felt that the budget exceeded the expected limits.

The director then decided to put off this ambitious idea and he even informed Mahesh about the same. The two have decided to do this film at a later point of time, though.
 

Mani Ratnam recently had his Kadal (Kadali in Telugu) hit the screens while Mahesh Babu completed a hat-trick of hits with the success of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
