Thillu Mullu and TVSK - Chennai theaters round-up

As Thillu Mullu and Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (TVSK) release all over the world today, the 14th of June, we quickly do a roundup of the screens that the two have managed to garner in Chennai, in some of the prominent multiplexes.
 
In the prestigious Sathyam complex, TVSK has managed to bag the biggest screen, Sathyam, for 4 shows while Thillu Mullu has to settle for the second biggest screen in the complex, Santham, again for 4 shows. The bookings for both the movies look healthy for the weekend.
 
In some of the other popular complexes across the city, TVSK will be screened in the biggest screens, there as well. Devi, Sangam, Abirami 7 star and Udhayam will be screening 4 shows of this Sundar C entertainer. Thillu Mullu settles for the second best screens here too, such as Padmam, Swarna Sakthi Abirami and Suriyan.
 
In the all important Mayajaal, both the movies are neck to neck at 15 shows each on the first day, with TVSK being hiked to 18 shows for Saturday and Sunday.
 

On the whole, it looks like TVSK will emerge as the bigger opener among the two, purely on the basis of the kind of screens it has managed and the pretty decent advance bookings all over these prime properties. But if the word of mouth is good for Thillu Mullu, things could quickly change over the course in the following weeks.
