National Award winner to remake two superhit Tamil films

Jun 20, 2013

National Award winning Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known for his artsy and extravagant films wears a different hat when he’s a producer. Under his banner the famed director had earlier acquired the rights of South Indian commercial potboilers such as Karthi’s Siruthai which was remade as Rowdy Rathore in Hindi.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, SLB, has now acquired the Hindi remake rights of not one but two superhit Tamil films. The first being A.R.Murugadoss’s Ramana which is being remade in Hindi as Gabbar with Akshay Kumar, under the direction of Kirsh, who made Vaanam. The latest addition to SLB’s production bag is that of Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy franchise, Muni.
