Following the uncertainty in the release of Thalaivaa even after repeated efforts to solve the problem, the team has decided to go on a hunger strike requesting the release of the movie. Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Director Vijay and the producer S. Chandraprakash Jain have been speaking to the press, requesting the concerned people to take immediate action in resolving the problem. However, there seems to be no progress in their efforts.
 

The government says that they have nothing to do with this issue. The police say that it’s not their job and that the people concerned with the movie have to make a decision on this. However, the theater owners are requesting for protection on the day of its release.
 

It has to be noted that the team has been requesting the Chief Minister of the state to bring a possible resolution as soon as possible. To top it up, the team has now decided to go on a hunger strike requesting the release of the movie. It is said that Ilayathalapathy Vijay and all the other actors and technicians will participate on the hunger strike. The team has met the city police commisioner to seek permission for the same.
