Sathyavedu is a small town nearly 30 odd kilometers from Red Hills, on the outskirts of Chennai. It is a town that sits on the TN - AP border. The town has suddenly gained major prominence because it is the closest destination from Chennai that is screening Vishwaroopam, that too in Tamil.

The townsfolk are genuinely perplexed by the sheer number of people thronging to their otherwise passive area. Srinivasa Theatre is being seen as the local shrine by fans of Kamal Haasan from Chennai, as it houses the screening of the film. Over the last few days, the theatre and the town has been overflowing with visitors who are driving down from Chennai to catch the movie.
