We
thought that we know a lot about Sushmita
Sen. But we are yet to find out many
interesting and sometimes spiritual
or spooky (whatever you want to call
it) truths about this versatile lady.
She has many hobbies as you might
have heard before. She has also turned
out to be intensely spiritual. Her
faith may belie common sense. Try
this.
During the shooting of her latest
film, Zindagi Rocks, a snake (yes
you read it right) turned up on the
sets from nowhere. From the picture
that films have given us about actresses
we would have expected Sushmita to
scream out cling on to the nearest
person and faint dramatically leaving
the others to take care of the snake.
But
that is not what happened. When the rest
of the unit was running for cover, she went
forward, knelt before the serpent and paid
an obeisance, all while the serpent was
hissing threateningly. She then instructed
the rest of the unit to get on with their
work and leave the snake alone. When asked
later, she explained that she believed snakes
to be the incarnation of some goddess and
considered the appearance of the snake as
a blessing!!
