Although the Chennai sessions court has granted a clean chit in the alleged script-lifting case involving Kamal's prestigious venture Dasavatharam, looks like things are far from hunky dory. Earlier, the court denied a stay on Dasavatharam on the plagiarism case filed by Senthil Kumar who claimed the movie's script to be his own.
Dasavatharam

Senthil Kumar's subsequent appeal has also been slammed by the court after careful comparison and study of the movie's script with Senthil's story. In the judgment, the court also denied any similarities between the two stories.

Under these circumstances, Senthil Kumar's interview on this matter has been aired in a private television channel. After which, in a recent interview to a tabloid, Senthil alleged that he has been attacked by a host of goons after two hours of the telecast of his interview. He further declared that he met the Chennai Police Commissioner in this regard and lodged complaint against Kamal, his manager Murali and PRO Nikhil Murugan.

Dasavatharam However, he stated, since no action has been initiated by the Commissioner's office, he took the matter to the Tambaram Judicial Court. The court admitted his petition and the case has been adjourned to November 7, 2007. He also mentioned that he is prepared to move to the Supreme Court in this matter.

Nevertheless, Senthil challenged Dasavatharam's release and declared that he will release his script before the release of Dasavatharam either as a book or a 3D animated movie. He went on to state that his lawyer Venkatesh is backing him in this regard and is ready to pursue the matter to the Supreme Court at his own expenses.
However, when Behindwoods contacted Kamal's PRO Nikhil Murugan, he clarified his stand on this issue. He said that his name has not been included even in the earlier Dasavatharam case and expressed his surprise towards its inclusion now. "I am only Kamal's Manager and it's strange that I'm being pulled into this," he further added.

Kamal's Manager Murali also rubbished the entire case. "The whole world now knows what is the truth," he said. He also included that this is being done only to attract the media attention.

Quite the reverse, not paying much attention to this hubbub and with no ripple effect, Dasavatharam crew is busy with their final schedule.
