The
wedding of Aishwarya Rai continues to puzzle
and enthrall the Indian media who never
gets exhausted of reporting this event.
After all she is former Miss World and her
name sells irrespective of the content.
Readers who regularly follow the happenings
of cine industry would be aware that
Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi were
the predecessors of Abhishek Bachchan
in getting linked with her.
The couple in question, Ash and Abhi
was in Madurai recently in connection
with the Mani Ratnam’s Guru.
The print and the visual media were
crying loudly about their secret wedding
at Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple.
But as expected, Ash denied this.
But now, the priest of the temple
has come out in the open and revealed
that the duo indeed exchanged garlands
in front of the presiding deity.
Shankar,
the priest in charge was prepared to receive
Mani Ratnam on the 6th of October as per
his intimation. But on that morning, he
was in for a pleasant surprise when Ash,
Abhishek, his friend Mukesh and his wife
entered the temple through the western gate.
Aishwarya was clad in a simple white shirt
with a matching trouser and a small chain
around her neck.
They performed a pooja at the sanctum
sanctorum. This prohit was not sure
if they had already registered their
wedding elsewhere but accompanying
priest Ugrapadi Gurukkal is certain
that they indeed exchanged garlands
there. Subsequently, the couple was
in Kodaikanal allegedly spending their
honeymoon after which they returned
to Madurai. They stayed in Madurai
for fifteen days when they were transported
to the shooting venue through a Ford
Icon whose driver reveals more interesting
facts after having listened to their
conversation in car. He says, “Since
it is not possible to get married
at the temple without the valid marriage
certificate from the registrar, the
couple decided to just exchange the
garlands”.
But
our Kollywood sources claim it is only a
wedding scene for Guru that was shot at
the temple. Anyway, time only would reveal
us the true picture. Till such time, let
us wait and watch the fun.
