By Behindwoods News Bureau.
July 30, 2007
Ace director Bharathiraja's Bommalattam will be released shortly across India. The movie stars Arjun, Nana Patekar and Kajal Agarwal. Speaking at the audio release function, the director said that he had shifted his focus from the usual village subject to cater to the urban population.
Bommalaatam
Opining on how the latest genre of directors such as Cheran and Ameer have taken village-oriented subjects a level ahead, especially the latter with his Paruthiveeran, he added that both the directors have gone in-depth to show villages deep down to its roots.

Disclosing about the rift between him and Nana Patekar, the director said that such things are bound to happen when two ace personalities in the same field join hands for a venture. However, he was quick to add that when Nana Patekar was here for the dubbing of Bommalattam he had mentioned that "neither of us lost". The problem between the two arose when Nana Patekar was asked to dub for the Tamil version of Bommalattam.
