When a film is in progress and tragedy
strikes in the form of sudden demise
of its director, it becomes very difficult
to find the right kind of replacement
who will translate the original director’s
thought to the big screen in the same
manner or better. Such a situation arose
some time back when cinematographer
turned director Jeeva breathed his last
in Russia while shooting for Dhaam Dhoom.
Many
names were discussed and P C Sreeram was initially
said to be taking over the film from where Jeeva
had left. Subsequently the name of Manikandan who
is an assistant director to Jeeva was also talked
about. Eventually, it will be Aneez, costume designer
and wife of Jeeva who is said to be directing the
remaining portion of the film. She has also apprenticed
under P C Sreeram and possesses the necessary experience
to handle the directorial responsibilities. P C
Sreeram will be wielding the camera for the film
from now and the shooting will commence from today.
