| Shoots
to be cancelled on September 23rd |

After
the unanimous decision taken by the Producers
Council, Directors Association and the
various organizations belonging to the
Tamil cinema industry to celebrate Chief
Minister’s announcement of entertainment
tax waiver for movies with Tamil title
and various other schemes to rejuvenate
the Tamil industry, the industry has now
decided to call off shoots scheduled on
September 22 & 23, the day the function
is proposed to be held in Nehru stadium.

In
a press statement jointly released
by Rama Narayanan and Chandrasekhar,
who wear the organizers cap, it is
stated that the function will be held
in Nehru Indoor stadium on 23/09/06
commencing from 5.00 in the evening.
The teams, which are assigned the
responsibility of various activities,
are; Sathyaraj from Nadigar Sangam,
Vijayan from Employee Union, Arulpathy
from Distributors Union, Annamalai
and Abirami Ramanathan from Theatre
Owners Association.

To
enable the attendance of everyone from
the industry, it is decided to call off
the shoots scheduled to be held on 22
and 23 of September and no other movie
related activities would take place either.
The function will stage a wide range of
programs including comic skits and musical
programs, the statement further mentioned.
