After
experiencing extreme pain and attacks of
vomiting, Krishnaraj Rai, the dream girl
Aishwarya’s father was admitted to
Hinduja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai, on Thursday.
Distraught daughter Aishwarya dropped everything
–she was in the middle of a shoot
– to rush to his bedside.

Tensions
ran high until a diagnosis was made.
Dr. Bhujang Thai employed the latest
in technology–both ultrasound
and CAT scans, before determining
the cause of the ailment. After
examination, the green-eyed superstar’s
father was found to be suffering
from gangrene of the intestines–and
in need of an urgent operation.
Concerns ran high prior to the operation,
but Dr. Gustad Dawar, Medical Director
of the Hopital, said Rai was recovering
in intensive care, under the close
observation of a team of doctors.

Prospects
for recovery look good and it is expected
that Mr. Rai will be restored to full health
and that the dutiful daughter will be back
on the set with all her usual zeal. We wish
him a speedy recovery and Aishwarya’s
speedy return to the sets. |
