The Endhiran hype has
achieved its summit and to mark the occasion,
a theatre owner in Ariyalur planned something
which is yet another first for a movie released
in India. When tickets are usually priced
between Rs. 100 and Rs. 200, maybe a little
more for a Rajini movie, the first ticket
for the first show in Endhiran has cost
the proud owner of the ticket Rs. 3000.
Yes! Rupees three thousand only.
The theatre owner, Mr. Karthik, said that
he planned to do something similar to the
IPL auction and hence decided to auction
the ticket. Emerging victorious from among
numerous bids, the winner had to shell out
Rs. 3000. This can only happen with Rajinikanth
movies!
