Photon Kathaas, the
production company run by Gautham Menon
is going to go public indicating the ever-growing
popularity of Tamil cinema. It was director
A.R. Murugadoss, who caught everyone's attention,
when he entered into an agreement with Fox
studios in Hollywood. Now, Gautham Menon,
the COO of Photon Kathaas, has decided to
hit the London market by listing Photon
Kathaas in the London Stock Exchange's (LSE)
Alternate Investment market which is for
smaller growing companies.
The official listing in LSE will be on OCtober
15, 2010. The public issue is expected to
raise around 6 million pounds. Bollywood
production house Eros entertainment is already
listed in the AIM. A.R. Rahman holds 3%
stake in Photon Kathaas and is also the
creative adviser.
