Amidst speculation that Vijay is
all set to enter politics, the actor
hosted a press meet on September
13, 2009 at JS Kalyana Mandapam.
Vijay has made it clear that he
has no intention to enter politics
and would like to concentrate on
films. Though, the actor reiterated
that his welfare activities would
continue through his fans’
clubs as always.
He further added that he wants
to strengthen the Makkal Iyyakkam.
Vijay said anyone who works for
the welfare of world Tamil population,
will definitely get his support
and he would even consider joining
hands with them in the future.
Speaking about his meeting with
Rahul Gandhi the actor said that
it was a great opportunity and he
would like to thank his fans for
this interaction.
