Director
Vasanth has directed an album for the Directors’
Council 40th year celebrations titled D40.
The music for this album, which runs to just
40 seconds, has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad.
Vasanth has included the clippings from various
films in this album to make it more interesting.
Other than this album, Vasanth has also created
two documentaries as a tribute to the two
iconic directors of Tamil cinema – K Balachander
and Bharathi Raja.
Devi Sri Prasad has not only composed the
music for the Bharathi Raja documentary but
has crooned for it as well. For KB sir’s documentary,
Vasanth has made use of the Punnagai Mannan
theme song.
