With Kaavalan’s shoot
and post-production work almost over, the
production team seems to be gearing up for
selling the rights of the movie. Although
many of the national and regional markets
are yet to make business, what with the
not-so-enthusiastic performance of Vijay’s
previous films, international market has
already been sold out. Tantra Films has
fetched the movie for Rs 6 crore to be released
outside India.
It’s also learnt that the Kerala rights
of Kaavalan has been sold at 1.5 crore to
Thameens Films. Though Kaavalan is a remake
of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard, the Vijay
craze among the fans in Kerala has done
the magic.
