The
audio of Thenmerku Paruvakatru was launched
in the city at the Green Park Hotel on October
13, 2010. The function was attended by noted
celebrities from the Kollywood industry. Thenmerku
Paruvakatru has been directed by Seenu Ramasamy
of Koodal Nagar fame. Sethu and Vasundhara
Iyer are the lead pair of the movie. The music
has been composed by Karthik Raja.
Speaking at the occasion, Creative head of
Sun Pictures, Mr. Hansraj Saxena informed
that the movie has come out well which is
why Sun Pictures have decided to release it
under their banner. He also said that Endhiran
is the only movie where the title credits
did not feature the name of a PRO. "There
was no separate show for the press also as
all the actors and the crew did their best
to promote the movie", he added. Mr.
Saxena informed the audience that Thenmerku
Paruvakatru will be released at a time when
the current rush for releases eases a little
bit.
Saranya Ponvannan, who plays an important
role in the movie, was all praise for the
director. She informed that it was a different
experience to act in a completely village
based story. "Being a city-bred girl,
I got to experience village culture only after
I married Ponvannan", she said. "Though
my initial thought was that this movie is
about affection of a mother, it turned out
to be "Murattu Pasam", she added.
She has got wide-spread appreciation for her
role in the movie including Vairamuthu who
specifically praised a scene where Saranya
had to tame a bull.
Producer Janarthanan said that he is proud
to be associated with such a project. He said
that the movie was supposed to be released
by Kalaipuli Thaanu but later the opportunity
went to Sun Pictures. "There is stiff
competition even before the release of the
movie", he quipped.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Madras,
Thiruvasagam released the first copy of the
audio and director Balu Mahendra received
it. The function was also attended by Justice
Baasha, Vairamuthu, Vasundhra Iyer among other
famous personalities.
The film is expected to be released in December. |
