Pazhassi Raja draws CM to theatre
October 28, 2009

Pazhassi Raja, the period film, is breaking the fifty-year record in the Malayalam film industry. The film was released in Malayalam on Diwali and has already seen hefty collections. The Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English versions will be released shortly.

The movie has been getting excellent reviews and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi watched the film yesterday at the Four Frames preview theater. Though Mammootty was not present, Sarath Kumar who played a vital role in the movie was present at the show and gifted a shawl to the CM.

It is a normal practice that Malayalam films will be released only in 75 theatres but as an exception this film was released in 125 theatres, which is responsible for the huge collection.
