Why Vijayakanth prefers this director?

Vijayakanth has shelved his Virudhagiri to accommodate director Vikraman's Mariyadhai! Speaking about this during the launch of the film at the Lady Andal School, he said that when Vikraman narrated the story he was so captivated that he immediately decided on accepting the offer. The star, however, disclosed that he did not

hear the script scene by scene as he was not only satisfied with the story but was aware that Vikraman will keep improvising on the scenes. Vijaykanth will play dual role in Mariyathai donning the roles of father and son. Sharing the screen space with him will be Meera Jasmine, Ambika and Meena. On preferring T. Siva to produce his films often, Vijaykanth said that he is committed producer who will go to any hardship to complete the film. He declared that their friendship dates back to many years. Scoring the music for Mariyadhai will be Vijay Anthony the latest sensation for his Naaka Mukka song. Vijayakanth said that Vikraman vouched for the music director for his hard work and perfectionism. The entire function was very disciplined and grand affair with guests maintaining pin drop silence. Rama Narayanan, Ameer and P.S. Saminathan were some of those present at the event.
