The
President of the Film Distributors'
Association Kalaipuli Sekaran has appealed
to all the small budget filmmakers not
to release their films during the month
of Diwali. Speaking at the audio launch
function of Thullum Nenje, which stars
newbies Murali Kishan, Mohan Krishna
and Monisha, Kalaipuli Sekaran said
that this is
not
the right time to release small budget films
as movie buffs will be concentrating on Diwali
purchase and bonus issues. He added that though
these films might get some good theatres and
do well there are chances that they could
be thrown out by the theatre owners to accommodate
big budget Diwali releases. Now, that's one
wise suggestion!
