Mani Ratnam’s next film may be
based on the popular novel Ponniyin Selvan.
This novel is in five parts containing
several thousands of pages. Of this, Mani
had picked out the best 80 scenes to weave
it into an entertainer.
Coming to the actors that may be a part
of this prestigious project, there are
reports that Kamal Haasan, Vikram and
Suriya are being considered for the role.
While Kamal has not given the go-ahead
for this film, Vikram and Suriya have
almost said ‘yes’ as they
want to be a part of this film.
This film would naturally require a huge
budget and news is that Sun Pictures may
take it under its wings.
