Kamal and Rajini at the Kannada Film Platinum Jubilee

On the first day of the Platinum Jubilee function of the Kannada film industry, Kamal Haasan was the chief guest, it was Rajini’s turn on the second day. Kamal was felicitated by the Chief Minister of Karnataka Yedurappa, with a shawl and a silver memento. Kamal during his speech said that he would like to participate in the 100th year celebrations too.

Speaking at the function, Rajini said that he is keen to work in a Kannada film. The superstar added that such an opportunity would be godsend.

Rajinikanth said in the Tamil film industry movies are mostly based on the novels of well-known authors, but this trend has not caught up with the Kannada film world. The actor disclosed that he wanted to don the role of Muddanna from the novel Raktha Rathiri. Are the producers and directors listening?
