Young singer Tanvi Shah
was presented with the Young Achiever’s
Award by the Rotary Club of Madras Southwest
on Saturday 19th June 2010. The event took
place at Hotel Accord Metropolitan, T Nagar,
Chennai 17. Tanvi was presented the award
for winning the Grammy, BMI and Oscar for
rendering the song Jai Ho in Slumdog Millionaire.
A press note states: “She has performed
in leading and world famous arenas such
as Wembley Arena Wembley UK, Birmingham
Arena Birmingham.” It has to be mentioned
here that Tanvi Shah joined ace lyricist
Gulzar to pen the Spanish lyrics for the
Jai Ho song.
