Director Bharathiraja
rushed to Malaysia on Tuesday after hearing
the news that his daughter’s mother-in-law
Shantha Kumari reached the heavenly abode.
Shantha Kumari is the wife of AT Raja, the
Trustee of the Kuala Lumpur Pathu Mahamariamman
Temple.
Incidentally, Bharathiraja returned to
Chennai from Malaysia on Tuesday and on
hearing the news of Shantha Kumari’s
death he flew down immediately to offer
condolences to the bereaved family. His
son and actor Manoj, brother Jairaj, and
director Manoj Kumar also accompanied him.
