Kuselan 70 crores, Dasavatharam 43 crores

Rajinikanth starrer Kuselan has been insured for Rs. 70 crores! Of this, the Tamil version has been insured for Rs. 40 crores and the Telugu version, Kuseladu, for Rs. 30 crores. The lead stars, Rajini, Pasupathy, Nayanthara, Meena and over 200 technicians involved in the project have been included in the insurance scheme. The idea behind insuring the film is

to get over any losses that could be incurred by the producer due to accidents, natural disasters etc. As this insurance scheme involves huge amount, an Indian insurance company has tied up with a foreign company. Sources say that the foreign insurance company will profit up to 80 per cent from this venture.

It may be recalled that Vikram’s Anniyan was the first Tamil film to be insured. It was insured for Rs. 27 crores. Kamal starrer Dasavatharan has also been insured for Rs. 43 crores. Sources close to Robot team say that plan are afoot to insure the film for a huge price. We need wait for that astronomical sum!
