Aayirathil Oruvan back in Producers’ Council

Aayirathil Oruvan, which has Karthi, Parthiban, Reema Sen and Andrea in the lead roles, has been facing the rough seas for quite a while now. The film, which is produced by Ravindran on behalf of Dream Veli Corporation, was started on budget of Rs. 6 crores. But it far exceeded its limits and director Selvaraghavan insisted that Ravindran shell out another Rs. 7

crores. This issue was taken up to the Producers’ Council and was resolved after Ravindran conceded to pay the amount. Selvaraghavan resumed the shooting and all was well until he informed the producer yet again that he would need Rs. 3.5 crores to complete the film. This time too the Producers’ Council came to their rescue and Ravindran agreed to pay the amount. But he had sternly warned Selvaraghavan that he would have to bear the costs if the budget exceeded once again. Hope the director is careful this time. Aayirathil Oruvan’s shooting is expected to resume from Wednesday onwards.
