Music director Bhardwaj says that Bollywood singers must pronounce Tamil perfectly while rendering the songs. Only this can ensure that a song turns out to be a chartbuster. Bhardwaj reveals that he is not against using Bollywood singers for his albums but they should get the pronunciation right.

He adds that for Asal he has used several newbies including Kumaran, Sri Charan, Sarmukhi and Sunitha Menon, to sing the songs and their fresh voices and pronunciations are the major reason for the songs to become a hit.

Bhardwaj declares that he does not mind working in a big budget or a small budget film but the former would give him more mileage as it reaches the public faster through extensive promos.
