As much as Madras Maestro Rahman’s double Grammy is a first to Indian soil,
the fact that he shared it with Tanvi, the first woman from India to win a
Grammy also gains significance. Tanvi, a staple in Rahman’s albums shared
the Grammy with him for penning the Spanish lyrics for the Jai Ho song,
besides singing the same. Sukhvinder Singh, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash
and Rahman also are part of the rendition.

Tanvi, who can also sing in Arabic, Latin and Spanish, owns a band, Zahrra.
Earlier she has also received the BMI award (UK) for the same song.
