Two persons were arrested for selling the
distribution rights of Endhiran’s Telugu
version titled Robot. Surendran (44) and
Udayakumar (46) sold the distribution rights
to Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Films
for Rs. 27 crores and received Rs. 2 crores
as advance by fabricating the documents.
When the producers of the film, Sun Pictures,
came to know of this, they filed a complaint
at the Pattinapakkam police station in Chennai.
Investigations revealed that the duo had
cheated the distributor and have been arrested.
The police have also recovered some fake
documents from the two.
Sun Pictures have clarified that they have
not sold the distribution rights of Endhiran
or its other language versions.
