With
Suriya declining to play the all-important role
in Kandahar, a multilingual film that is to
be directed by Major Ravi, the director is scouting
for a suitable face for the role. Apparently,
Ravi is intent on fixing up a well-known star
from the Tamil film industry as the film will
be made in Tamil too.
It is worth mentioning here that Amitabh
Bachchan and Mohanlal have already been signed
up to play significant roles in the film.
Kandahar is based on the Indian flight hijack
that happened a few years ago. The director
says that the shooting will probably begin
in July or soon after finding someone suitable
for the role Suriya had declined.
