The
65 acres of land allocated by the Chief Minister
of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi has been named as
Kalaignar Thiraiyur. The laying of foundation
stone to build houses for workers belonging
to the film industry will be on April 23rd.
The Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone
for the housing quarters, actor Kamal Haasan
will lay the foundation stone for the hospital
and Rajinikanth will lay the foundation stone
for the film studio. Apart from the hospital
and film studio, a recording theatre, editing
facility, dubbing theatre and much more would
be built for the benefit of the film industry
workers.
The entire film industry opines that the Kalaignar
Thiraiyur will be on par with the facilities
that are available in Hollywood and would be
known as the Los Angeles of India. |
