Boys
was an important film in Tamil.
No, it did not set the box office
on fire and it certainly did
not get rave reviews either.
But the fact the six young faces
were given the kind of opening
they were, meant that there
would be inflow of new talent
into the industry. Among the
six, Siddharth has gone on with
Telugu and Hindi movies. While
he has been successful in those
languages, he has not struck
a chord with Tamil audiences.
Among the six, only Bharath
is seen as a rising star. |

Bharath
has proved his acting repertoire
in a variety of roles in films
such as Chellame, Feb 14 and
Pattiyal . However, his best
movie so far Kaadhal, also one
of the finest Tamil movies in
recent times, really made the
actor stand out. In what was
a fantastic combination of realistic
story telling, wonderful editing
and sincere acting, Bharath
made the audience identify themselves
with the simple boy that he
played in the movie. Currently
Bharath is acting in ‘Chennai
Kaadhal’ and in another
one that is to be released soon,
called, ‘Emttan Mahan’. |

While
his career is on a firm ascendancy,
Kollywood, as its wont is, is
busy gossiping about his love
life. In a recent screening
of Trisha’s ‘Something
Something’ at Satyam Cinemas,
Bharath created quite a flutter
by bring along Genelia. While
Simbu came in, as expected,
with Nayantara, it was the Bharath-Genelia
pair that surprised many and
was most talked about. Even
Trisha had a twinkle in her
eyes to see them together. Genelia
is also doing quite well in
her acting career. Her recent
movie Bommarillu in Telugu is
a blockbuster. |

With
both actors doing well and having
worked in their initial movie
together, they have known each
for a while. When asked about
this, Bharath admitted that
he would go the movies and have
dinner with Genelia whenever
she comes down to Chennai. Further,
he said, as all young people
do, they exchange SMS messages
frequently and talk on the phone
with each other a lot. However,
he added, this was all just
platonic. Well, we will let
you be the judge of that. |

was already rumoured to be in
love with Sandhya first and
then, with Gopika. Like the
number of movies he has, he
also seems to be doing well
with the women.
His movies meanwhile, look promising.
‘Chennai Kaadhal’
stars Bharath as a college going
person who falls in love. Directed
by Vikraman, it is said, this
is a movie that brings out the
fact that times may change but
human emotions don’t.
It explores romance in modern
times and supposedly launches
Bharath as a true hero. |

‘Veyil’. He as several
projects lined up and seems to be
in great demand.
