Unidentified persons have reportedly attacked the Zam Bazaar police station near Triplicane area of Chennai. According to reports, vehicles parked near the police station were set ablaze, and smoke filled the area. Notably, police had earlier lathi charged the protesters and thrown tear gas at them on the Marina beach.
