Police personnel have reportedly conducted lathi charge on the protesters and have also thrown tear gas at Marina, on Monday. According to reports, police had held talks with the protesters at the beach since morning. Notably, the protesters tried to stage a protest at Triplicane area in Chennai but were removed by the police.
