In a recent series of events, as many as seven IT majors have decided to let go over 56,000 employees in 2017, which is twice the employees laid off by these companies last year. This is due to a fallout in dealing with US President Donald Trump’s protectionist and immigration policies and failure to adapt to newer technological advancements. Notably, the seven companies include Infosys Ltd, Wipro Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd, HCL Technologies, Cognizant Technology, DXC Technology and Capgemini SA.
