Director General of Police S P Vaid reportedly said security forces eliminated three local Lashkar-e-Taiba militants on Thursday in an encounter that lasted for over six hours in Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The deceased included Majid Mir, “who was involved in a number of killings”, and two others namely Shariq Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad, sources reportedly said. Army said they had recovered three weapons from the site.
