Justice Rohinton Nariman has reportedly recused from hearing a review petition by AIADMK chief V K Sasikala. Nariman was part of the two judge bench hearing the petition filed by Sasikala seeking review of her 4-year-jail term following conviction in corruption case. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi put forward Sasikala’s argument that Nariman's presence in the bench might be misconstrued since his father Fali Nariman, an eminent jurist, had represented former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the corruption case.
